About the Course

Music in Cyberspace is an on-line (correspondence) music technology course offered by the Farmington Public School District. This high school course is a .5 fine arts credit. As an online course it is an addition to your schedule but credits will be accumulated toward possible early graduation.

This course is the first online course offered in the district and free to in-district students. A similar course offered outside of the district would be several hundred dollars. This is the first semester it is offered and we are anticipating that it will be a popular course.

Students enrolled in the course will utilize music technology in arranging, composing, and performing. This course is for anyone interested in becoming a better musician using cutting edge technology. Music experience from beginners to advanced may enroll.

In order to complete your enrollment in the course, please complete the following:

  • Send your student email (or the email you would like to use for the course) to sheri.jaffurs@farmington.k12.mi.us. Portions of this course will be held using this program and you will be asked to download it to your personal computer or use it at a satellite location ( school in the district).

Dr. Jaffurs will contact you about delivery of materials needed for the course. You will need to have the distance learning application and loan agreement form, I will make arrangements to meet you on your campus.
